I Refuse To Do A BPO Now Without Automation Software…..

I know that the title of my blog may sound like I’m a big spoiled baby when it comes to doing a BPO by hand or what I call ‘the old-fashioned way.’ I know that I not the only one who also thinks this way!

I am a BPO Automation expert and as such I’ve gotten completely spoiled when doing the data entry for my BPO’s. Mind you on top of running the BPO Automation Group, Nicolesdreams eBooks and being a certified real estate instructor….in my spare time (which comes up about once a month for a few hours) You can find me doing a few BPO’s.

Because of my connection with the BPO Automation Group, I am able to utilize many of the tools and services that we offer to other BPO and REO Agents for their own business, when doing my own BPO’s.

Although, I don’t do BPO’s them full-time, I still really enjoy getting in a putting on my Sherlock Holmes investigator’s cap as I search for clues and tidbits that will help me formulate how much I think a specific property is worth.

I’ve gotten to the point that I absolutely refuse to do any BPO without using automation software. I guess I’ve gotten spoiled. But it goes to say that first came the horse, then the cart….then the buggy….next the car…. the same notion applies to doing the data entry for my BPO’s. First there was me doing absolutely everything within my BPO business, then I hired data entry helpers….then I learned about automation software and let my help go….. So, here I stand 3 years later on the tip top of a huge mountain that I have been steadily climbing. And as I look back to the bottom of the magnificent mountain and I follow the path that I took to get here, I thank GOD that I made it in one piece….ha…ha…..

I must say that I am truly thankful for the experience of making the journey and for being so lucky as to have learned that there is a much better way to do my BPO work. Without it, I’d be stuck on the side of a cliff-face on that monstrous mountain, hoping I can hold on just a little bit longer and that my poor fingers don’t give out.

Would you take an Accredited BPO Certification Course that would give you CE Credit? By Nicole Ocean

Hi all!

 I don’t know if you are aware of this fact yet but as of today 10/29/2008, there are a handful of companies and websites that offer a supposed, “BPO Certification Class,” or to get your “BPO Certification.”

One of the BIGGEST PROBLEM with all of the companies and websites that are offering this is that NONE of them are accredited through ANY of the 50 states in the U.S., nor will you get CE credit or clock hours.

Plus, on top of being able to obtain this special, “Certification,” title it is not recognized or adopted within the BPO or REO industry by the hundreds of BPO, REO and Asset mgmt companies that are out there. So even if you decide to take their course and put their special ‘made-up certification title’ on your business card, on your website, or on your marketing material it is not a guarantee that you will get more BPO or REO work.

Lastly, none of these online certification courses are recognized with the NAR in any way. I don’t know about you, but I think this is a HUGE problem! One, I hope to be a part of fixing!

I am very proud to announce that after one year of having my BPO Class be just something I’d hoped to put together and offer that this is starting to become a reality. I have become affiliated with a long-time real estate trainer and certified instructor where we are in the final negotiation phase for putting together and offering an accredited class on BPO’s here in Washington state. (To start!)

 We are in the beginning phase and have been working to put together a real “BPO Class,” (and certification). It will be accredited through Washington state (to start with and then move onto as many more states as possible in where it makes sense to offer this).

 I have decided that this is a very important niche that needs addressing because of my own personal experience but also because of seeing that a real need exists for this type of course. Not only could BPO, REO and Asset mgmt companies benefit from a standardized, BPO Certification Course, but I feel that the BPO Agents who take the class would also benefit greatly in more than one way. (More than just getting CE credit and Clock hours!)

 I have been wanting to check in with other BPO Agents to see if there would be interest in having a BPO Class like this be available.
